New PC and Snooker at Marco’s

I walked from the centre of Edinburgh out to the PC World at Costorphine on Saturday morning. Google Maps calculates this to be just over 4 miles. Anyway I bought a new computer and wireless router, using the tax/NI free voucher I’d elected through the company I work for.

On Saturday night I went to Marco’s for some snooker. Marco’s is located on Grove Street, in what I think is classed as the Fountainbridge area. I’m not a member here, so each of us had to pay £1 for a temporary membership pass. The table cost was approx. 14 pounds for around 2.5 hours, which I think is very reasonable. They have many snooker tables and even more pool tables. The bar is reasonably priced and has many screens to watch the football on; here I managed to see some action from the Real Madrid vs Athletico Madrid derby.

On the way back to my flat this afternoon I took some pictures. The first is the Church on Dean Bridge and the second is the view down Comely Bank Avenue. btw: I store the photos on flickr and clicking the thumbnail image should direct you to flickr where you can view a larger image.
