Edinburgh Christmas Lights Part 2: St Andrews Square

For the second posting of Edinburgh’s Christmas lights 2021 I have included four images of the Christmas lights at St Andrews Square. St Andrews Square is located at the East end of George St and it’s basically as the name would suggest: the actual square is grass with many trees around its periphery. Standing in the centre of St Andrews Square is the 41m high Melville monument.

The buildings around St Andrews Square are mainly occupied by financial institutions and include Dundas House, the world headquarters of the Royal Bank of Scotland. The Harvey Nichols store also sits by St Andrews Square and you can see it’s red illuminated restaurant/bar in the background on the photo below.

The Christmas lights at St Andrews Square are all the same i.e. many ‘white’ bulbs in many of the trees:-
