The List Eating & Drinking Guide 2021/2021 out now

The 16th edition of the List magazine’s Eating & Drinking guide is out now. The guide is included with the current special edition of the List magazine, which costs a very reasonable £3.50.

The List Magazine's Eating & Drinking Guide 2009/2010

George Street’s Tigerlily has taken the List readers’ award, which is not surprising given the popularity of this Montpeliers Group owned bar/restaurant. The Edinburgh newcomer of the year for ‘refreshing and informal budget eating’ has gone to Mother India Cafe, a place the Blog has yet to visit, but as a fan of Mother India in Glasgow I am sure the award is fully deserved. The Edinburgh newcomer award for ‘bold and broad-ranging bistro dining’ goes to L’escargot Bleu, another restaurant the Blog has yet to visit.

It’s great to see Loopy Lorna’s, Roseleaf and the Tailend (all favourites of The Edinburgh Blog) making their respective hit lists. If you are unfamiliar with the List’s Eating & Drinking Guide, it’s basically a fantastically categorised guide to places to eat in Edinburgh and Glasgow. I regard it as an essential annual purchase.

As usual the List magazine’s website will be updated with the guide in due course.

  1. I got this the other day, and had an exciting evening seeing how many places I’d been to. Have heard good things about Tailend so will have to give that a go soon.
